A guide to DecisionVault and Clio
How to use our Programs
We use DecisionVault to collect information early in the process. It’s important that we get the correct spellings of names, addresses, and contact information for all of the people who are important to you, and DecisionVault is how we do that. We will also share information and draft documents with you there later in the process.
To create your DecisionVault Account Click the link that was emailed to you by our staff (or if you’re starting your estate planning, click here; for probate or trust administration please reach out to Alyson).
1. You will be asked to enter your email address, and to choose a password for returning to the process in the future.
2. This will then automatically take you to our new client questionnaire. Feel free to skip anything you’re unsure of, but please give us as much information as you feel comfortable sharing, as it will help us to be informed and able to give you the best advice.
To log back in to DecisionVault to finish your questionnaire or after your initial consult You can use this link to return to DecisionVault. It will ask you to enter the email address and password you selected when you created your account.
To download documents we have uploaded to your DecisionVault account (such as trust provisions to review and Advance Directive documents to complete) Log in to DecisionVault as shown above. Make sure that you submitted your questionnaire previously (or if you haven’t yet, click ‘Submit to Attorney’)
1. Click on the ‘Shared Documents’ button
2. Click the link for each individual document and it will automatically download to your computer for you to work on and save to your device.
To upload share documents with our firm through DecisionVault (such as completed custom edits to your trust, or prior estate planning documents) Log in to DecisionVault as shown above, then
1. On your client workspace screen, click the Questionnaires button
2. Click the blue “open” button next to your questionnaire.
3. Scroll to the bottom of your questionnaire page and click the documents button
4. Under Post-consult homework, click or drag your new draft document

Clio
We use Clio to share scanned PDF copies of your final estate planning documents with you after you have signed your new estate plan.
To create your Clio Account The first time that you receive documents from our firm through Clio, you will get an email from one of our staff members, listing the email address “donotreply@clio.com” From that email, click the button that says “Open secure portal” where you can see the shared documents and download them to your computer by clicking the document folder.
To log back in to Clio to see your documents or download them again you can use https://clients.clio.com/login. It will be connected to the email address that you initially received the shared documents at.
